Dear WMRHS Students and Parents,             August 22, 2022

We hope that this letter finds you well and are looking forward to the upcoming school year.  The summer is going quickly and soon school will start. The 2022-2023 school year will begin on Tuesday, September 6th, at 7:45 am with the first morning bellStudents will go directly to their first block class and attend Spartan Spotlight after the first block.  The 2022-2023 school year will operate on a “White and Blue Day” block schedule format.  The “Blue/White Day Schedule” is enclosed in this letter.

We are excited to have our incoming freshmen transition to WMRHS through the Link Crew program. This program is a research-based, peer-to-peer mentoring program that “links” groups of 8-10 incoming freshmen with two upperclassmen for the entire school year. Throughout the year these “Link Leaders” work with their groups, both academically and socially, to help ensure that their transition to high school is a successful one. These leaders receive two full days of leadership training over the summer to prepare them for the work they will be doing when the school year begins.

Freshman orientation will be held on Thursday, September 1st from 9:00 am-1:00 pm. Incoming 9th-graders will meet their Link Leaders, participate in a day of activities, get introduced to school culture, meet some of their teachers, and get some Spartan swag! Chromebooks will also be handed out that day.

The 2022-2023 information packets are online.  Please review your child’s information and make all necessary updates to the existing information by going to the district website (https://www.sau36.org/) to update your child’s forms.

All students will be issued a Chromebook this year. Chromebook pick-up will take place on September 1st from 3:00 pm to 5:30 pm at the high school.  We cannot issue Chromebooks to students without this signed paperwork, so please complete the Chromebook paperwork using this link:

https://core-docs.s3.amazonaws.com/documents/asset/uploaded_file/1104302/WMRSD_-_Chromebook_1-1_Guidlines.pdf

The school will have paperwork available on site if you can’t complete it at home.

If you need to make an appointment with your school counselor for scheduling changes, please call the counseling department at (603) 837-2528 to make an appointment, or email Ms. Erica Hicks (students with last names A-J) ehicks@sau36..org  or Ms. Breanna Hurlbutt (students with last names K-Z) bhurlbutt@sau36.org. The counselors will be available through September 1, 2022 for pre-school schedule changes.

The drop/add period for this year will begin on September 7, 2022, and close on September 14, 2022.   No drop/adds for year-long or semester one classes will be allowed after this date.

CTE students taking classes in Littleton will begin attending classes on Tuesday, September 6.  The bus leaves the school at 7:10, so be sure to be at WMRHS on time. No students will be allowed to self-transport.  Failure to follow this expectation can lead to removal from Littleton CTE programming.

Please note that located on the district website, www.sau36.org, will be pertinent information for families and students.  Information you will find under quick links will be 2022-2023 school information; such as the school year calendar, transportation routes, and hot lunch menus.

At the beginning of August, a survey was emailed to all of the families in the district regarding the bus routes. If you did not fill out the survey, and your student(s) needs transportation to and/or from school this year, we encourage you to reach out to Madison or Tina at W.W. Berry’s Transportation (603) 636-6100 as soon as possible.  WW Berry Transportation bus information can be found at

The student handbook will also be posted online (on the WMRHS page) on the district website.  During the first week of school, the administration and teachers will review the key points with the student body in regard to the student handbook.  In addition, we expect students and their parents/guardians to familiarize themselves with the student handbook.
