    The Northern New England Chapter (NNE) of the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA) is announcing the availability of a scholarship for current high school seniors, undergraduates and graduate students in the State of Maine, New Hampshire or Vermont who have been accepted into a program committed to a degree closely tied to Solid Waste Management, Environmental Science, Engineering or a related field of study.   • Accuplan Scholarship

    Accuplan will be providing a $2,000 scholarship to a hard-working student! The scholarship is intended to help students to be successful in school and raise awareness to the rising generation about the importance of retirement.
    Applicants must apply by May 31, 2018, in order to be considered for the scholarship.     Quest Bridge is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that connects high-achieving, low-income students with full four-year scholarships to attend partner colleges. This offer is for high school juniors who are typically in the top 5-10% of their class, earning primarily As in the most challenging courses available, whose families earn less than $65,000 annually with minimal assets.   • Skrungloo Farm, Inc. 2018 Scholarship Program

    This scholarship is open to all graduating and post-grads of NH, who will be attending post-secondary school in the Fall. Applicants must demonstrate financial need, academic merit, and other non-academic factors such as community service, school activities, and work experience.   • Gettysburg College Scholarship Opportunity

    With help from a generous grant from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Gettysburg College is offering a STEM scholarship program for students interested in STEM fields (Biology, Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, Mathematics, and Physics). STEM Scholars will have their full demonstrated financial need met for all four years with no loans, and have the opportunity to:

    • Attend a STEM-focused pre-orientation workshop with other STEM Scholars.
    • Enroll in an exclusive First-Year Seminar taught by STEM faculty.
    • Participate in bi-monthly luncheons with STEM faculty and a variety of learning activities on and off campus.
    • Take advantage of various STEM offerings, including faculty-student research, peer-mentoring, preferential residence in Gettysburg College's Science House, and internship opportunities with industrial partners.

    The deadline for Regular Decision admission (using the Common Application) is January 15, and students should file both the CSS Financial Aid Profile and FAFSA by January 15.
